Programs should offer educational opportunities that are not available in the regular BASD curriculum. Any interested person can submit program proposals.  Proposals from individuals in the Bethlehem Area School District, higher education, business and industry, community, health, human services and labor organizations are welcome. Programs providing direct instruction to or learning by children will be given preference.  The Foundation will normally not fund programs that entail professional development, travel, or the acquisition of equipment. Eligibility for participation in the programs sponsored by the Foundation extends to all children living within the Bethlehem Area School District. Programs that provide benefits to more than one school will normally be given preference. The Bethlehem Education Foundation welcomes proposals that represent collaborative efforts with other funding sources. In compliance with the requirements of the State of Pennsylvania, the BAEF requires that, upon program approval, a copy of a valid criminal background check is provided for each participating faculty member.
